20. Aurora Borealis and Australis – North and South Hemispheres
The closer you get to the north or south poles, the more likely you may be lucky enough to see the beautiful ethereal glows of an aurora lit sky. The phenomenon is the aurora borealis or Northern Lights in the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere, it is the aurora australis or Southern Lights. How does it happen? Particles electrically charged by the sun enter the atmosphere. The result is a multi-colored magical night sky!
